CREATIVITY AND ART
This panel aims to encourage reflection on the processes that lead to the formation of a work of art.
If all creation begins, as Tolkien asserted, from a specific humus, we intend to explore the type of soil in which the artwork is currently growing, how it is nourished, and the environmental conditions that foster its development. Culture as a mutating and multifaceted field, interaction and exchange, identity questioning, social context, trial and error, the physical and the virtual… will be some of the creative conditions examined in the various contributions.
Among the main lines of work, the following are suggested:
2. Game, rules, and constraints as creative methods.
3. Thinking with the body: physicality and ideation in the creative process.
4. Failing better. Trial-and-error creative systems.
5. The art of encounter. Chance as a catalyst for creativity.
6. Collective artistic creativity: conversation, exchange, and social change.
7. The reinvented self. Expression and identity formation within the creative process.
8. Umbrellas and sewing machines. The surrealist metaphor as a paradigm for contemporary creativity.
